地铁的英语
我记得这个东西有很多种说法。
首先第一种metro是metropolitan的口语化，它是指世界首个地下铁专道系统属：英国伦敦大都会铁路（metropolitan
railway），不过这个词的词源是来自法语métropolitain。
因此有指地下通道的railway也能引申为地铁。
subway则是美式英语的普遍说法。
underground
railway这个说法比较通俗。
此外tube也有地铁的意思，应该是由管道引申而来。

这里不能用upstairs,因为upstairs指的是当你在平地的时候，说的上层。地铁是在地下,用above level或upper level更合适。
